I'm Ray Finch, UKIP’s Hampshire rep. I ask you to put me 1st on your MEP list because I offer you a pair of clean hands and the chance to change UKIP’s fortunes where it matters…here in the UK!
Open finances
I am not suggesting UKIP MEPs have gone native but EU fraudulent accounting invites this. We must show we have clean hands. If you elect me as an MEP, I promise to place my audited finances for inspection at our Newton Abbot HQ to show UKIP CANNOT BE BOUGHT OFF.
UKIP, not the Conservatives, will break EU chains
The so-called Brussels-Strasbourg “parliaments” are a costly anti-democratic sham where so-called “parliamentarians” spend time agreeing policies they did not formulate, did not really debate and probably did not read. I don’t believe we should be there except to spoil their act. The only reason for UKIP having MEPs is to increase UKIP’s profile here in the UK where we can break the EU chains and free our nation. To do that UKIP must achieve government in Westminster. Forget the Conservatives! It was Conservative Prime Minister, Harold MacMillan who first applied to the EEC and Conservative Prime Minister, Edward Heath who took us in, while Conservative Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher signed the Single European act and Conservative Prime Minister John Major signed Maastricht. So what of possible Conservative Prime Minster Cameron? I don’t expect him or his Conservative successors to be any different.
UKIP MEPs should promote UKIP
We must use UKIP MEPs to promote UKIP. Wherever one of our branches has a newsworthy issue, an MEP should be there to get the local media to take it seriously. UKIP MEPs can open village fairs, scout huts, local nurseries and anywhere we can make the point that UKIP are electable and working for us rather than joining in at the Brussels swill trough.
UKIP shadow cabinet
I believe UKIP needs a shadow cabinet. UKIP representatives should have their own portfolios and help Nigel by taking responsibility for individual policies. Each should head one of our policy committees and be expert in their own right. Then we can approach the media and get our point of view before the public. Nigel cannot be expected to carry UKIP on his shoulders. UKIP MEPs should share that burden and show the electorate UKIP is not a one man band but the REAL ALTERNATIVE IN BRITISH POLITICS.
Stay true to UKIP
I will not waste the hopes and hard work of UKIP members by sitting in Brussels. I will help UKIP become electable at Westminster by publicizing our full manifesto because Remember it is not possible for UKIP to be elected as a single issue party but also never forget UKIP was founded with the overriding purpose of rejecting the EU project. Let us stay true to that dream and carve a place in history the happy few who saved freedom and democracy… in the home of freedom and democracy.
